Prospectus completed an audit of the Irish Health System for the Department of Health to ensure that the various organisations that make up the health system are properly aligned to deliver on the goals of the national Health Strategy. The functions and governance arrangements of 58 individual organisations were examined. The purpose of the audit was to ensure clear lines of accountability and communication between each part of the system, no overlap or duplication between organisations, and a proper alignment of the structure as a whole to the vision and objectives outlined in the Health Strategy. The results of the audit were incorporated into the Government’s Health Service Reform programme and form the basis for the on going restructuring of the Irish Health Service.
Radiation Oncology Bids
As part of the Department of Health evaluation process for the Development of Radiation Oncology Services in the Eastern Region of Ireland, Prospectus worked with two Major Academic Teaching hospitals to develop their business cases for the location of a radiation therapy facility on their grounds. Working with clinicians and management, this involved designing and structuring the business cases, ensuring the differentiators for the hospitals were highlighted, facilitating and project managing the drafting of the cases, and finally, locating the key arguments in the context of wider reforms and strategic health service agendas.
