Prospectus was commissioned by the Mental Health Commission to develop a Quality Framework for mental health services in Ireland. This is a framework for continuously improving quality in mental health services, which encourages and fosters high standards of care. Prospectus consulted widely on behalf of the Commission in order to ascertain views and perspectives from a diverse range of stakeholders in terms of what constitutes quality in mental health services.

Prospectus more recently reviewed various areas of the Mental Health Act 2001 on behalf of the Commission: (1) Rules governing the use of electro-convulsive therapy, (2) Rules governing the use of Seclusion and Mechanical Restraint, and (3) the Code of Practice on the use of physical restraint in approved centres. These reviews followed robust processes which were consistent, open, transparent and objective.
