The Mental Health Commission developed and implemented a quality framework for mental health services in Ireland. This was a framework for continuously improving quality in mental health services, which will encourage and foster high standards of care. As a first step in developing the quality framework, The Mental Health Commission engaged Prospectus to design and manage a consultation process aimed at gathering the views and perspectives of all stakeholders as to what constitutes quality in mental health services. The consultation involved a number of stakeholder workshops, written submissions from the public and focus groups. A report detailing the outcome of the consultation has been published.
